Unpacking HRT: Beyond the Basics
A free, real-time workshop with Emily Sadri, NP, CNM, Founder and CEO of Aurelia Health
Hormone therapy is receiving more attention than ever. Yet many women are left with critical unanswered questions.
When is the right time to begin?
What does the evidence really say about safety?
Why do so many feel underwhelmed or even worse when starting a standard prescription?
This workshop will bring clarity. We will review the science, the clinical experience, and the therapeutic options that extend beyond the conventional algorithm.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15TH 7PM EST
Hormone decline is inevitable.

Confusion doesn’t have to be.

Hormone decline is inevitable. 🚨 Confusion doesn’t have to be. 🚨
If you are in the transition of perimenopause or menopause, you may already recognize the changes:
These experiences are not unusual.
Yet the care most women are offered often misses the mark.
Why Conventional Care Falls Short
In traditional menopause practice, treatment is highly algorithmic.
Hormones are prescribed according to narrow, standardized protocols.
Cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurologic health are often acknowledged.
But, the solutions offered are too limited.
Broad lifestyle advice is given without individualized assessments, and the complexity of each woman’s biology is overlooked.
Conditions such as mast cell activation, thyroid imbalance, or post-viral syndromes like long COVID may be highly relevant in one woman’s story. Yet they are rarely accounted for in conventional protocols.
HERE’S THE TRUTH…
HRT is not a fix-all.
In this workshop I will share how I integrate a full-person assessment in my practice, using HRT as one important piece of a much larger and more integrative plan.
We will also explore why compounded options can be an incredible tool, and why traditional dosing schedules are often grossly inadequate for women seeking meaningful results.
My Story
At 40, one year postpartum, I experienced a profound collapse of health.
Persistent fatigue. Metabolic dysfunction that no diet or exercise shift could fix. Cognitive fog that affected my work and relationships. It was more than “new mom exhaustion.” Postpartum depletion bled into perimenopause, and my body could not recover with standard approaches.
As a University of Pennsylvania–trained nurse practitioner and midwife, I had access to the conventional tools. But they were not enough. It was only through applying functional medicine, advanced testing, and physiologic hormone replacement that I restored stability to my system.
That medical and personal journey informs every part of how I now care for women. In this workshop, I will share the science and the clinical strategies that help women rebuild energy, resilience, and health during midlife.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN • Unpacking HRT •
By the end of our hour together, you’ll understand:
What hormone decline looks like in perimenopause and menopause, and why timing matters more than most women are told.
The evidence for how hormone therapy supports brain, bone, metabolic, and long-term health.
How physiologic hormone replacement (pHRT) differs from conventional methods, and when it makes sense.
Why bio-identical hormones matter, and how they compare with synthetic alternatives.
Why hormones alone are not the full solution, and what else your body requires for energy, resilience, and longevity.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
This workshop will not replace medical advice, but it will give you insight into the common gaps and oversights in conventional care. You will leave with a clearer sense of what questions to ask and where your current plan may need refinement.
-
We will review the evidence on timing, formulation, and individualized assessment. Safety is not a single yes-or-no answer. It depends on the type of hormones, the way they are delivered, and your unique history.
-
Most OB/GYNs are trained in protocols that rely on birth control pills or synthetic hormones, particularly for women in perimenopause. These tools reflect the current dogma of conventional care. At Aurelia, we take an entirely different approach, using bio-identical and physiologic hormone therapies within a functional and longevity-focused model. This approach respects the individuality of each woman’s biology and offers a broader framework than the standard symptom-management model.
-
Perimenopause is a critical window. Hormonal changes can begin years before the final menstrual period. Symptoms such as irregular cycles, sleep disturbance, mood shifts, and metabolic changes are common. Too often, these are dismissed or treated with birth control or antidepressants. We will discuss why this stage is essential to address proactively, and how hormone therapy may or may not fit into your care at this time.
